All the King's Men
Film Synopsis
Winner of three Oscars® (for Best Film, Best Actor
and Best Supporting Actress), the film is an exposé of
the workings of power that attracted the attention of
the House Commission for Anti-American Activities
and cost the director, Robert Rossen exile from the
United States. It’s the story of Willie Stark, an honest
young politician, who becomes governor of Louisiana
thanks to an anti-corruption campaign. Once in
power, however, he can’t stay true to his own promises
of moral integrity and becomes more and more
aggressive and despotic, with dramatic consequences
especially on his personal life.
