Synopsis

Magalie is a web star: she grew rich publishing extreme content on social media beyond all morality. One day, involved in a serious accident with a grand piano, she herself decides to take a break and go on a retreat to a mountain chalet accompanied only by Patrick, her personal assistant. But her sabbatical is about to be interrupted by a woman who can blackmail her and maybe ruin her life.

COMMENTARY
Dupieux continues to reinvent himself: updating and reversing a film such as Le daim, he creates one of his most disturbing and unreachable characters to portray a world gone mad.

Director

Quentin Dupieux

Quentin Dupieux is a French director and screenwriter known for his extravagant style and the clear poetics of the absurd, of nonsense and, so to speak, of being out of time. His major hits include Mandibules, which premiered in 2020 at the Venice International Film Festival; and The Second Act, which opened the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
