Synopsis

Filmed in Milan and Viareggio, at Giorgio Gaber’s haunts, the film shows the private side of the performer, in the words of his daughter and those close to him over the years; yet it is also an ensemble film that contains the great personalities and artists who worked with and adored Gaber throughout his life.

COMMENTARY
Signor G: “My name is G”, “No, look my name is G”. Double Giorgio Gaber, or Gaber and Mina in a television duet, one of the many, precious pieces from the archives about Gaber’s story, his music, his theatre, from the tender and now melancholy Non arrossire of his early days, to the rock music in which he faced off with Celentano, to the surreal skits with Jannacci, to the Milanese songs with Maria Monti, to his immense popularity on television and his return to pure theatre, when Gaber chose to perform only on stage, giving voice to his political and cultural commitment
